This post is all about morning routines.
2019 is my year to start fresh and focus on myself. Having a healthier lifestyle and doing what makes me happy.
A great way to start that accomplishment is to have a routine to make sure I do all of my priorities.
This post shows you 13 Tips on Creating a Healthy Morning Routine
Ask yourself what’s your main priorities you would like to accomplish every morning. This could range from meditating to reading your favorite book for a bit. List 3-5 things you want to incorp
- Clean My Room
- Eat Breakfast
- Bible Journaling
- Get Myself together.
Why Do You Want to do a Routine?
Ask yourself why are you doing a routine. Are you planning on being consistent? Are you doing this for your health? Make sure you ask yourself if this is right for you.
Wake up at a steady time!
Ditch your back up alarms and your other back up alarms. Have one alarm and remove the snooze button. If you wake up at 8 am one day and 10 am the next day you will have a hard time having a consistent routine and lose time during the day to accomplish your goals.
Another tip is top have your phone or alarm clock away from your bed, which will make you physically get out and start your day.
Unplug from TV and your phone
Personally, I have had this problem of wanting to check my social media or watch TV immediately when I get up from the bed, which I eventually then lose track of time.
Make Your Bed
Making your bed is one of the most refreshing things to do right after you turn off your alarm. It doesn’t tempt you to go back to bed after making it.
And when you come back from work or classes your bed is all ready for you to crash in.
Workout/Go for a walk
One of my 2019 goals (
If you don’t have that much time in the morning just take a brisk walk around campus.
What I’ve learned recently that I have been lacking on is to focus on myself. Taking a few minutes a day to do something for me to focus on my mental health and being happier with myself.
I personally struggle with body positivity and loving myself. There is nothing wrong with loving yourself and focusing on making you happy. You can do this by doing your nails or baking. Just little things to make you happy and feel good.
Mind Stimulating Activity
Find an activity that will stimulate your mind like a brain exercise or reading a book.
The moment you wake up in the morning after turning your alarm off and making your bed try to drink a glass of water which will boost your metabolism and kill bad toxins.
I am a Christian and I am trying to do daily bible journaling. My goal is to do passage a day and pray. This will work for any religion or even if you are not religious you can meditate. Just taking time of peace in hopes of an amazing day.
Eat a good breakfast. I know you heard this multiple times.
But if all you eat if pop tarts in the morning you are going to feel sluggish from not having a balanced diet. Try to include protein vegetables and fruits to start your day off right.
