New Year's Resolutions Ideas for 2020
1. Find a Budget Plan
I’ll admit I am one who is in it for the high life. But don't let your spending habits get ahead of you.
Make sure you keep track of your money. Check out my post on how to budget and save money.
2. Drink More Water
This is a great addition to your new year's resolutions ideas 2020.
Drinking more water has numerous health benefits like giving you more energy and help with the digestive system.
3. Get Moving
I know it's hard to get moving at your job. Make it a goal to get a certain amount of steps a day and gradually increase.
You can track your steps with a fitness tracker. I have a Fitbit Versa which tracks my steps, heart rate, and sleep.
If you don't like regular workouts find a new fitness class that might interest you. I recently got into kickboxing and I love it.
Here are some ideas on how to stay healthy and fit in college.
4. Learn a New Language
If you have an interest in learning a new language for travel or just for the heck of it I suggest using Duolingo. It's free and extremely helpful.
6. Get a New Job
If you are tired of your current job take courage and quite and find something that you are passionate about.
If you are looking for flexible part-time jobs that could pay up to 50$ per hour?
7. Find a New Hobby
Find a new hobby that might interest you. There are numerous things you could do like cooking, baking, fitness, or DIY projects.
5. Travel Around the World
Take the time to explore the world and get out of your routine. I love traveling and exploring new places. This coming spring break I am going to Paris, which I am beyond excited.

8. Read More Books
Not much of a reader?
Find what kind of books that interest you this year. I am interested in personal development books to help me grow.
9. Take a Technology Break
Have a technology-free day!
I know it's hard to avoid TV, phones, and computers these days.
But it's the best feeling focusing on other things other than social media and TV.
10. Make New Friends
Get out of your room and go meet new people. You can always make friends at the gym, coffee shop, or in class.
11. Learn How to Play an Instrument
Have a dusty old instrument in your room that you never played? Here is the perfect time to pick it up and learn your favorite song.
12. Learn How to Love Yourself
I know that I have struggled with this issue because of social media and insecurities. This is something I prioritized this past year and I feel amazing.
It's very important to love yourself before loving someone else. Get to know yourself, take yourself on dates, and remind yourself that you are amazing.
One thing that helped me on my self-love journey was saying daily affirmations. Here are a few of my favorite affirmations I say every morning and night.
13. Stop Procrastinating
I am really bad at this. This is one of my personal goals that I am working on this year. This year don't procrastinate on your New Year's resolutions. Make sure you write them down or create a vision board filled with your New Year's resolution ideas.
14. Start a Blog
Over the past year, my blog has blown up like crazy. Starting a blog was easily one of the best decisions I ever made. I have extra income and opened new exciting opportunities.

15. Volunteer More
I am genuinely passionate about helping others through service. I am involved with the volunteering community for a couple of years and it’s changed my life.
It taught me the qualities of being humble, caring, and a leader. When someone donates their time, it makes numerous benefits that help the community and the volunteer.
This is such a great idea to include on your New Year's resolution list.
16. Take More Pictures
I strongly believe that pictures last forever. Look back over 2020 with all of the pictures that you have taken this past year.
17. Write Handwritten Letters
Everyone loves getting snail mail! Write to your parents, grandparents, or friends to keep them updated on what's going on in your life.
18. Quit a Bad Habit
I know it's hard quitting bad habits. It's not something that is going to happen overnight. Focus on them one at a time and find what works best for you. Just remind yourself to take it one step at a time.
19. Call Your Loved Ones More Often
Make your loved ones day by giving them a call reminding them that you love and miss them.
20. Go to Bed on Time
This is very important for your health. It's bad to be playing with your phone or watching TV before you are about to go to bed.
21. Focous on your Faith
If you are religious take the time to focus on your faith. I am a Christian and I try to start my day praying and thanking God for everything that he has done in my life.
22. Get a Tattoo
Go get a tattoo this year. Word of advice: Don't get something that has no meaning to you. Get something that means a lot to you and that you'll be okay with it on your body forever.
23. Go Skydiving
If you are feeling adventurous this year go skydiving! Life is short so why not?
24. Wake up at a Consistent Time
I know I'm not the only one that struggles to get out of bed. But waking up consistently is great for your health and helps to be productive
25. Go Social Media Free For a Month
Say goodbye to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and all of your other favorite social media. You know it's good for you to take a cleanse.
26. Start a Gratitude Journal
I love this New Year's resolution idea! Keep track of all the good things that have come through your life and be grateful.
27. Conquer a Fear
If you have a fear that you would like to accomplish like heights. Go on an airplane, rollercoasters, or go on an elevator ride to the top of the building. Of course, this is drastic but take it one step at the time.
28. Fall in love
Make your move and fall in love. I am a hopeless romantic who loves love. If you have had your eye on a girl or guy for awhile make initiative. That is one thing that I am interested in doing this year.
29. Eat at Home
Become a master chef at home. Spend less money eating out and cook your favorite meals at home.
30. Do a Small Act of Kindness Daily
Make someone's day by doing one small act of kindness a day.

- Pay for someones coffee
- Call someone up
31. Start a Morning Routine
Create a morning routine that works best for you. After getting up at a consistent time create a routine to become more productivie in the morning.

32. Have a Me Day
I believe self-love and self-care should be a priority. Make time once a week for self-care and doing something that makes you happy.

33. Start a Recipe Journal
Save all of your favorite meals in a recipie journal.
34. Switch up Your Style
If you are bored with your look clean out your closet and go shopping or get a makeover.
35. Say "Yes" to New Opportunities
If you usually say no to opportunities turn your mindset around. You may be missing on the best thing in your life if you don't say yes. If you want to go travel go do it. If you want to go on a date with that guy you like go out.
