This post is all about study tips.

At the beginning of the school year, I created an academic goal this semester to obtain straight A’s. Last semester, to be completely honest was kind of easy for me and took advantage of it, which turned me into a MAJOR procrastinator.
I ended the school year with 3′ A’s and two high B’s. One of my academic goals this semester is to take the time to improve.
The key to doing well in college is STUDYING. I know it sounds easy. Because it is and that’s why I created a list for study tips for college students.
Here are my secret study is to obtain straight A’s in college.
Studying Tips
1. Having A Planner
In almost every college blog post I have written. I have emphasized the importance of being organized in college. I even wrote a blog post all about planner organization to stay on top of your class assignments here. This study tip is a huge lifesaver.

2. Find A Study Buddy

Take the time to find what works best for you. If you are a morning person do it then if not find other time periods that work. Make sure when you figure out when
4. Turn Off Electronics
Having your phone next to you is a big “no no.” It’s such a temptation when you see your phone notifications and then you spend time scrolling through Instagram and you lose track of time. I recommend putting your phone out of sight so you won’t even think about it.

Flashcards and Quizlet.com will be your best friend in college. I personally like using flashcards because I get a bit distracted online, but I highly
7. Handwritten Notes
Having handwritten notes is my personal preference because I memorize better when I have written down what I learned. Plus You can get creative and make your notes attractive so it’s appealing to look over.
8. Don’t Wait Till The Last Minute.
This is really important. DO. NOT. WAIT. TILL. THE. LAST. MINUTE.

9. Create A Game
If you are a huge game buff like me, I suggest making a game out of studying. You can create a Kahoot game and play with your friends. You get to have fun and learn new things.
10. Visit Your Tutoring Center
Go visit your campus tutoring center. If you are not strong in a particular subject they would gladly help you and answer your questions
11. Prioritize Your Assignments
Possibly my favorite study tip.When you are studying take the time to prioritize your assignments by when it’s due and by difficulty.
The way I do it is doing things coming up first and do the assignments that take a long time first and the rest will be a breeze.
12. Take Breaks
This is another important key while studying. If you just study for hours and not take a break you’ll eventually not even pay attention and not do your best work.
When you take a 15 min breaks you’ll feel refreshed. While on your break you can stretch or even grab a snack. I created a list of healthy snacks to help you focus while studying here.
